Hello and welcome to our class page.
My name is Miss Moore and I am your child’s Year 1/2 teacher this year. We also have Mrs Honey supporting in our classroom.
We are looking forward to getting to know all of the children in our class. If there is something you feel we should know about your child, we have an open-door policy, so please do come and see us.  Our class Twitter will be updated regularly so you can see all of our amazing learning!
We operate continuous provision in Unit 2 which helps your child’s transition from Reception. We have carefully selected a range of resources for the children to engage with, to develop their exploration, investigation and learning through play skills. Our aim is to create an environment that promotes the children to be more active and creative learners. The children are able to follow their own interests and engage in self-directed learning in addition to teacher-directed learning.
Key information:
- Homework will be collected in on a Monday and sent home on a Tuesday.
- Weekly homework includes; spellings, reading, Numbots and a handwriting sheet for Year 1 and comprehension for Year 2.
- Our PE day is a Tuesday. Children need to wear their PE kit to school on their PE days.
- The children will need to bring a water bottle into school each day. The children are able to fill their water bottles up in school.
