Hello and welcome to our class page.
My name is Miss Weall and I am your child’s Year 1/2 teacher this year. We also have Mrs Ashworth and Mrs Matloob supporting us.
We are looking forward to getting to know all of the children in our class. If there is something you feel we should know about your child, we have an open-door policy, so please do come and see us. I also aim to keep our class Twitter page up to date on a weekly basis so that you can see what we have been learning about in our lessons. Please follow our page to see our amazing learning! I am very excited to inform you of our new classrooms which has been set up with indoor and outdoor continuous provision. We have carefully selected a range of resources for the children to engage with, to develop their exploration, investigation and learning through play skills. Our aim is to create an environment that promotes the children to be more active and creative learners. The children are able to follow their own interests and engage in self-directed learning in addition to teacher-directed learning. We have daily access to outdoor provision, please bring in a pair of wellies for your child to keep in school.
Key information:
- Homework will be collected in on a Monday and sent home on a Tuesday.
- Weekly homework for unit 2 includes; spellings, reading and Numbots.
- Our PE day is a Tuesday and Friday. Children need to wear their PE kit to school on their PE days.
- The children will need to bring a water bottle into school each day. The child are able to fill their water bottles up in school.
