Our Parish

In recent years the parish of St Patrick’s, Rochdale and St Mary’s, Littleborough amalgamated into one new parish – The Parish of Pope Saint John XX111. The parish primary schools are; St Patrick’s RC Primary School Rochdale; Alice Ingham RC Primary School, Rochdale and St Mary’s RC Primary School, Littleborough. We have strong links within the parish and each other. Whilst each school continues to remain distinctive and each serves their separate communities, the schools collaborate on many parish projects including the Sacramental programme and Hope in the Future. Our parish also maintains excellent links with other parishes and schools across Rochdale and into Lancashire.

Our GIFT Team recorded advent and lenten reflections during the pandemic to supplement the interactive online Children’s liturgy sessions that run each Sunday. We host regular Prayer Station days in school and in church as well as collaborating on the Harvest Festival this year.

Wider Community

Together with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing  (RBH),  throughout the pandemic our children and staff  have been providing rainbow pictures, postcards, remembrance pictures, Christmas cards and Easter cards which have been gladly received by residents in 27 Independent living schemes, that’s an amazing 1050 residents! This project has contributed to cheering up members of our community during these uncertain times, and reminding them that somebody is thinking of them.
