Welcome to our St Bakhita Class Page (Year 5 and 6). I hope you all had a lovely summer and are looking forward to our adventure together this year in upper key Stage Two.
I am Mr Magee, the class teacher, and we are supported by Mrs Poole.
We look forward to helping you grow and develop knowledge and understanding of the world around us this year. We have lots of exciting and interesting things to learn about during our first term from studying Climates around the world and the ‘Victorians’ in Autumn 2. We have numerous visits and visitors planned in addition to what we are learning about in the classroom.
Our aim is to create a positive and healthy learning atmosphere supported by our Christion beliefs where we help and support one another and are kind.
There are lots of opportunities to take on extra responsibilities around the school such as: leading by example as school role models to the younger children; taking the lead with School Council; participating as members of the GIFT and Caritas Team; assisting with assemblies; and representing the school at the various competitions and outside of school events. We are all eagerly anticipating a fantastic year!
